You Are Not Alone

This is a safe space for your heart after loss

If you've found your way to this page, it's likely because your heart is hurting. Whether you've lost a partner, a parent, a child, a friend, a job you loved, or a beloved animal companion — grief does not discriminate. Loss, in any form, shakes us to our core.

I want to start by saying: I see you. And I'm so sorry you're hurting.

I know the pain you are in. I have lived through the loss of both my parents, a divorce, and the sudden death of my second husband. I’ve been fired from a job I hated, walked away from several jobs I loved, mourned the loss of many beloved pets. Like you (I suspect) I’ve had the rug pulled from under me and been forced to rebuild my life after it had been razed to the ground.

This makes me human, like you. Where you and I are different is that I have specialized in helping people through loss and grief for over 12 years. I’ve made it my lifes work to guide people through unknown lands of grief and loss. I have the maps and know the routes to take to navigate through the difficult terrain. And I intimately know the territory of grief, because I’ve walked it — sometimes on my hands and knees.

One thing I’ve learned is that there is no “right way” to grieve. There is only your way — the honest, human, and sacred process of feeling your pain, making sense of it, and learning how to carry it as you continue living.

Grief is what happens to us. Mourning is what we do with it. And it's through mourning — the outward expression of our grief — that healing becomes possible.

You don’t have to figure this out alone. You won’t find a quick fix here. Grief doesn’t work that way. But you will find gentle guidance and a safe, sacred space to breathe, to feel, to heal, and to begin again.

Whether you're newly in the throes of loss or you’ve been carrying your sorrow for some time, know that your experience matters. Your story matters. You matter.

I’ve created a simple, heartfelt resource to support you wherever you are in your grief journey.
